Welcome to CGPAC ETC!
We are excited to bring theatre education to CGPAC. Our program will allow your students to perform in a show, while learning how to audition, what goes into putting on a show, and how to better themselves as actors.

The mission of CGPAC ETC (Educational Theatre Company) is to foster a love for performing arts in an inclusive environment in which all students can develop their talents and confidence both on and off stage. We aim to offer educational performance opportunities that encourage personal growth, teamwork, and artistic expression for every child.

Don't have a Dance Studio Pro account, or you're new to CGPAC?
F.A.Q.s
Do we provide our own costumes? Will we be charged for costume stuff?
Costumes will be super minimal and will either be provided with stuff we already have, or there will be things that we will ask you to provide (but hopefully simple things that already exist in your home). But you will NOT be charged for additional costume pieces. Since this is an educational process, the students will be helping to create props, etc. and will not be a fully costumed performance. We are still making decisions on costume information, so stay tuned.

More information on costumes coming later!
What makes this program different than one at a park district or similar?
The big difference will be that we are going to have a big focus on the educational aspect of theatre. We are teaching them HOW to put on a show, now just teaching them blocking and some dances. Teaching them how to prep their character, how to add their character’s quirks to a scene/dance number, how to memorize lines, setting their props, creating the world, etc. so there will be a big educational component, which will set us apart.
How will casting work? What will the kids be doing when they aren't in the scene being worked on?
On day 1, there will be an audition “workshop” where they learn how to audition, and then they will do their (very small) audition! There are SO many named roles in this show, so everyone will be speaking.

If they aren’t being specifically used in a scene, they will be with Miss Kelsey learning a dance, or with Miss Steph working on the theatre education part of our program (learning how to write blocking in a script, learning about the tech aspects of a show, what all goes into putting on a production, setting goals for themselves, etc).
Can you break down the price? What goes into the cost?
We understand that it's a financial commitment to be a part of this class, BUT we hope you can see the investment that you're making in your performer's theatre education. We are 3 college educated theatre artists who are READY to share our knowledge and love for theatre with these young minds. We will also have multiple high school performers as junior staff.

If you've participated in our summer musical theatre camps, then you know that is 5 days, 2.5 hours per class for $215. This is basically double that amount of time (9 weeks, 2.5 hours per class). PLUS, we applied for the rights to the show, which costs a lot to do. That is something we do NOT do for summer theatre camp, and we do license-free shows. So that adds a cost.

We are NOT charging you for tickets to the performance, so that is basically "included" in your tuition.

We understand this is a big investment, and CGPAC is offering a payment plan for anyone who needs it. Please just send an email to CGPAC1@gmail.com to set up your payment plan.
